Introduction Advice and Learning sessions are Free and Impartial.We provide a range of advice clinics covering every aspect of intellectual property and business. These are all conducted by Business advisers, IP professionals, patent agents, tax advisers and others.
When you make an appointment our staff will discuss your individual needs and suggest the right adviser for you.
If our expert consultants cannot help you we will endeavour to refer you to other appropriate free agencies in the city via our impartial sign-posting service.
All advice and information is backed by Business Insight services that provide practical support to help you make your idea a reality.
There is a drop-in facility and phone enquiry service, but for advice and guidance it is always best to book an appointment with our staff.
Creative Sessions
Focussed on practitioners and start-ups in the creative industries, from musicians, actors, writers and publishers to film and programme makers, designers, artists, photographers, web masters and games designers. These sessions run on a negotiable timetable subject to appointments with our staff.
IP Consultations
Our own team offers consultations of up to 2 hours by appointment. Discuss IP topics such as Patents, Copyright, Trademarks and Design Right and all the practical aspects of protecting and benefiting from your ideas.
Patent Clinics
These are run by experienced patent agents on our premises every Wednesday evening between 5pm and 6.20pm. Each appointment lasts 20 minutes and can cover Patents, Design Right, Trademark and Copyright issues.
Our advisers can direct you to, or provide training in, all aspects of business practice, intellectual property and creative work. Much of this provision is available free through our Learning Insight service.
Creative Insight staff are widely respected for their workshops and talks
on all aspects of IP.
These talks are offered free on our premises and are available on a commercial
basis anywhere in the UK.
Topics and Courses include:
Protecting your Ideas, Starting a Band, Starting a Creative Business.
These are held on our premises and an adviser will see you for an initial consultation of between 30 and 60 minutes. They will make recommendations based on the information you provide or suggest options for you to choose from. As we are a free and impartial service with no commercial vested interest, it is you who decides what you want to do and we work to your agenda.
